Frequently Asked Questions

The practical details importers ask about most — MOQ, samples, payment, shipping and quality. Anything else, just ask.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

For stocked designs, 3,000 pieces per item is typical; some fast-moving plates and bowls start at 5,000 pieces. Dinner sets are quoted per set, usually from 1,000 sets. OEM and custom-colour programmes run higher — around 5,000–10,000 pieces — because they tie up a dedicated production run. We can often combine several low-volume items into one mixed container to help you reach a workable order size.

Do you provide samples? Are they free?

Yes. Existing samples are free of charge; you only pay the courier fee. Custom samples (your colour, decal or logo) are charged at a sampling price that covers materials and setup — this cost is refunded or deducted from your first bulk order. Samples ship by DHL, FedEx or UPS and normally arrive within a week of confirmation.

How long does sampling take?

Samples from existing moulds take about 5–7 working days. Samples requiring new decals or colours take 10–15 working days, and samples from a brand-new mould typically take 25–35 days including tooling. We confirm the timeline in writing when you approve the sampling quotation.

What is the lead time for bulk orders?

For stocked designs, 30–40 days after deposit and final artwork confirmation. OEM orders usually run 45–60 days depending on sampling and material preparation. We give you a production schedule with your proforma invoice and update you at agreed milestones.

What payment terms do you accept?

Standard terms are 30% T/T in advance with the balance against copy of B/L. For established relationships we accept T/T against documents. Irrevocable L/C at sight is accepted for orders above an agreed value; L/C charges are for the buyer’s account. We do not accept PayPal for bulk orders.

Which trade terms do you work with?

We quote FOB Guangzhou or Shenzhen by default, and CIF or CFR to your port on request. EXW is possible if you have your own forwarder in China. Tell us your preferred port and we will include freight in the quotation.

Can you mix different products in one container?

Yes — mixed container loading is one of the main reasons buyers work with us. You can combine dinner sets, plates, bowls, trays and cutlery from different factories into one FCL, and we plan the loading to maximise carton density. We share a loading plan with your quotation so you can see the volume breakdown before ordering.

Do you support OEM with our logo and packaging?

Yes. We handle custom colours, decals, back-stamp logos, embossed designs and retail packaging. Custom work uses existing moulds where possible to keep MOQs reasonable; new moulds are quoted separately and remain your property. See our Custom & OEM page for the full process.

Can you provide certifications and test reports with the goods?

We supply food-contact test reports for the relevant product line — FDA, LFGB or EU 10/2011 as applicable — together with the shipping documents. For regulated markets we can arrange fresh third-party testing (SGS or equivalent) in advance of shipment. Certificates always match the actual production batch; ask us to confirm which documents your market requires before ordering.

How do you calculate loading quantity per container?

We calculate carton volume per SKU from its packing spec, then build a loading plan per container type: a 20GP takes roughly 25–28 CBM, a 40GP about 58–62 CBM and a 40HQ about 68–72 CBM. Melamine is bulky rather than heavy, so containers usually fill by volume before weight. Your quotation includes pieces per carton, cartons per container and total loaded quantity.

How do you guarantee quality before I pay the balance?

Every order passes a pre-shipment inspection covering appearance, size, weight, packing and carton marks. You receive the inspection report with photos before the balance is due, and we hold shipment until you approve it. Third-party inspection agencies (SGS, TÜV, Bureau Veritas) can be booked at your request, at your cost.

Who do I talk to if something goes wrong after shipment?

Us — directly, in English, on WhatsApp or email. As your trading partner we settle claims with the factory on your behalf: transit damage, short shipment or quality issues are handled under our sales contract, so you are not left negotiating with a factory across a language barrier.
